PS3 OS Update More 'Friendly' to Facebook


LAS VEGAS - Sony Computer Entertainment America has announced the PlayStation 3 will soon update v3.40 system.

Later console with a system that v3.40 will include the PlayStation Plus subscription service and integration into the Facebook features.

Playstation Plus is a paid subscription service for the Playstation Network, announced at E3. This service allows players to access new features and applications.

Sony plans to let PS3 owners trying PlayStation Plus free for three months before choosing from several options to subscribe to the price of USD17, 99 (€ 14.99) for 90 days and USD49, 99 (€ 49.99) for 365 days.

Customers will receive early access to beta and demo, photo gallery, and video editor allows upload to Facebook and YouTube, a five star rating system for the PlayStation Store content, and automatic power save settings for the PS3 console.

Games published by Silk, Tuesday (29/06/2010), in the future updates will be present for the PSP v6.30. Meanwhile, the services previously available on the PlayStation Network will remain unchanged and will not require a paid subscription.

This update will also allow users to integrate their PlayStation Network account with their Facebook profiles via a future application for the Facebook platform.

Users will have the ability to share their information on PSN, send and invite to the PSN and check the online status of their friends via Facebook PSN.
